Meals on Wheels is a Family Affair... bringing shut-ins and community together. Meals on Wheels is more than good nutrition: it creates and promotes a beautiful form of community as caring volunteers cook nutritious and tasty food, cheerfully deliver meals through any and all weather, and encourage our seniors and shut-ins by brightening their day.

Our Volunteers receive benefits knowing they are helping others as well as getting exercise through meal delivery. The Volunteers are here by choice and therefore there is an attitude of joyfulness, which is felt throughout the organization and by the clientele.

Our Volunteers come to us from all walks of life and all age groups. Some are Seniors themselves in good health and others are younger, working individuals who take a lunch hour to provide this service.

Our Volunteers, approximately 75 in number, provide in excess of 5500 hours in total each year to this program. Meals are delivered 6 days each week regardless of weather conditions.
