Meals on Wheels Service
CRITICAL NOTICE- COVID-19 Pandemic Response:
We are also very proud of our volunteers that are just as committed and brave during this incredibly challenging time. We cannot say enough about them. We always knew we had the best volunteers, but we are even further grateful and appreciative of their love and caring for humanity.
The epidemic has dramatically affected the way that we have to operate for the immediate and long-term future. At time, we are requesting emergency support in the following areas.
1. Donations - we are incurring substantial costs associated to the additional care in providing our meal services. This includes supplies like gloves, cleaners, containers, packaging equipment, food servicing costs, storage and much more. Our clients are in the critical risk demographics for the COVID-19 pandemic and we must do everything right to ensure their protection. Donations can be arranged by calling our Manager/Volunteer Coordinator - Marion Bremner at: 250 -317-7801, or by e-transer to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (Please include your contact information.).
2. Clients - with Beet'N Boo's unable to provide restaurant services, Meals on Wheels can now provide additional seniors with hot and cold meal delivery services. Having healthy meals delivered two or three times a week can reduce your trips to the supermarket and reduce your COVID-19 exposure. We encourage that you sign up as soon as possible as the demand over the next while could be substantial. Family and friends are encouraged to register on behalf of the senior in need. Registration can be done over the phone by contact Marion at: 250-317-7801, or by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
3. Volunteers – we are currently preparing for an influx of available volunteers in the coming months. We are very appreciative of the recent volunteer requests. If you already have volunteered, thank you! There is a volunteer application form on our website at: http://mow-online.com/volunteers/volunteer-here. Later this week we’ll be looking at adding additional meal options during this period which could further reduce the exposure COVID-19.
Thank you and god bless you during this time.
