Our Mission: Nourishing Our Community

Access to nutritious meals is a basic necessity, yet many in our community struggle to meet this need. Seniors, individuals recovering from illness, and those unable to cook for themselves often face isolation, poor nutrition, and declining health.
At Meals on Wheels Kelowna, we do more than deliver food—we restore dignity, promote independence, and foster connection through fresh, home-style meals.
Our mission is made possible by the incredible support of donors and volunteers.

Donations keep our meals affordable and accessible, ensuring no one in need goes hungry.
Volunteers bring more than just meals—they deliver care, kindness, and a sense of community to every doorstep.
Whether you give, volunteer, or spread the word, you’re making a direct impact—bringing comfort, nourishment, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most.
Join us in making a difference. Together, we can ensure no one in Kelowna goes without a nutritious meal and a helping hand.

OUR HISTORY

Genuine & Passionate Care for our Community

Meals on Wheels was created in February 1969

In 2001 a separate Society was formed as the Central Okanagan Region Nutrition Society dba Meals on Wheels and Dinners @ Home.

Charitable designation has been achieved since incorporation.

The program is funded through a combination of payments by the clients, financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia, and donations from individuals, corporations and service clubs.
